Objective
To provide hands-on experience and enhance patient care management skills through practical-based training.
Program structure: During the 12 months of clinical training, trainee will be rotated through comprehensive, subspecialty clinics for practical-based training
Internship program details:
Eligibility:
Candidate should have completed third year of optometry B optom training (without any backlog/s) from a recognized optometry school/college/institute.
No of seats:
4 seats /year
Goals and Interns Responsibilities during Internship:
- The Internship program will be a One year program, and the minimum amount of time to be devoted to clinical work will be 6 days per week.
- This clinical work will consist primarily of clinical posting with optometrists / ophthalmologists and independent patient care.
- Teaching and other requirements will fill the remainder of the week.
- The interns will actively participate in department meetings & optometry grand rounds.
- Emergency duties on Sunday and night emergency duties according to roster
